(KTXL) — Two people are in critical condition and two others have minor injuries following a vehicle collision in Sacramento County, according to Metro Fire of Sacramento.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Hackberry Lane and Madison Avenue in Carmichael.

Crews responded to a four-vehicle collision where two people required extrication from two separate vehicles.

Three of the four injured people were transported to an area hospital.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
