SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KTXL) — The Sacramento Police Department said a Sunday night shooting in North Sacramento turned into a homicide investigation after one of the people shot died at a local hospital.

At around 9 p.m. Sunday, police said officers responded to reports of shots fired at a residence on Arcade Boulevard. Police said officers found evidence of a shooting at the scene and that two men were located at a hospital and were found to be connected to the shooting.  

Each man had one gunshot wound and of them was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Police said officers believed that both men sustained their injuries from the shooting. 

The deceased victim’s name will be released by the Sacramento County’s Coroner’s Office after his family is notified. 

Police said the circumstances of the shooting are still under investigation and there is no suspect at this time.
