Sacramento police: Woman dies after being hit by train

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KTXL) — The Sacramento Police Department says a woman died after being hit by a train Sunday night.

Around 7:35 p.m., a woman was on the railroad tracks near East Railroad Avenue and Napa Avenue, according to police. She died at the scene.

Union Pacific Railroad Police will be the ones investigating the death.

The woman’s identity has not been released.
