(FOX40.COM) — A shooting near the Sacramento City Cemetery has left one person dead, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
Authorities said the incident happened near the 2600 block of Kit Carson Street around 7 p.m. on Friday.
Officers said they responded to calls of a shooting near the area and noticed an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
The man succumbed to his injuries despite the efforts of medical personnel, officials said.
