(KTXL) — A person rescued from the American River was taken to the hospital in critical condition on Tuesday, The Sacramento Fire Department said.
The water rescue took place in the area of Riverine Way and North 7th Street.
According to the fire department, the person rescued was a 19-year-old man. He is currently in critical condition.
The fire department did not say what led to the rescue.
