School District Police Say Alleged Franklin High School Threat ‘Not Credible’

ELK GROVE —

Elk Grove Unified School District Police Services said an alleged threat toward Franklin High School was found to be “not credible.”

Thursday night, school officials at Franklin High School received a report that a student allegedly posted a threat on Twitter. School officials reported the post to the school district’s police services, who began investigating the threat.

The post on Twitter said students shouldn’t come to school Friday and the Twitter account picture was of an individual with a ski mask and weapon.

School officials sent a message to Franklin High School parents about the potential threat.

Officers investigating the threat were able to identify the student, and the threat was found to be “not credible.

School will be in session Friday.
