Sierra Resorts Open Despite Record-Breaking Warmth

The high temperature at South Lake Tahoe reached 69 degrees Wednesday afternoon, shattering the old March 13th record of 64 degrees that was set in 2007.

Despite the warm weather, all the major Tahoe area ski resorts are open with no plans to close earlier than April.

At Boreal Mountain resort near Truckee, some skiers and snowboarders were enjoying the spring-like conditions Wednesday wearing short sleeves.
