LOOMIS –
A smoke alarm saved a woman and her Yorkshire Terrier early Friday morning in Loomis.
The fire happened on Glenn Brooks Estates near Auburn Folsom Road and Dick Cook Road around 4:30 a.m. The woman named Cindy said she fell asleep in her living room and woke up to a screeching alarm noise.
She was able to safely make it out but the inside of the home has been destroyed.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
