Software Mogul Joins Mayor’s Kings Investor Group

TIBCO Software chairman Vivek Ranadive confirmed his involvement in Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson’s group to keep the Kings in town Thursday.

“Looking forward to supporting @KJ_MayorJohnson as we work towards keeping the @SacramentoKings where they belong. #HereWeStay” Ranadive tweeted.

Ranadive is a minority owner of the Golden State Warriors. His company, TIBCO, creates automation software and earned more than $1 billion in 2012.

“Excited to be a part of the revitalization of a great community and the globalization of an amazing franchise. #HereWeStay” Ranadive wrote on his Twitter account.

He will be teaming with former 24-Hour Fitness owner Mark Mastrov and business magnate Ron Burkle in the city’s effort to keep the Kings in Sacramento.
