“They get cash. We get killed.”

That’s part of the messaging health directors in Solano County are using to stress what they see as the dire situation of Big Tobacco targeting young people of color, especially Black and Latino youth.

Kirbee Brooks, Solano County senior health education specialist and Tobacco Prevention Project coordinator, joined Sonseeahray on FOX40 News at 11 a.m.

Brooks shared more details about the Healthy Stores for a Healthy Community survey. The statewide survey looked at what was going on at 8,000 retailers, 191 of them in Solano County.

The county topped the list for menthol cigarette sales.
