Authorities say that domestic violence situation between a pimp and prostitute started a search for an armed suspect late Tuesday morning.

Around 11:15 a.m., someone at the La Quinta Inn along Madison Avenue just off of I-80 reported seeing an armed man in the area.

Deputies responding to the scene evacuated some rooms where they believed the suspect was hiding.

By around 12:15 p.m., deputies believed they got their man.

As authorities later found out, the situation started as a possible domestic violence spat between a pimp and a prostitute. A woman left the hotel, only have the alleged pimp follow her. Pacing in and out, the man flashed a gun, asking where is the woman.

The manager of the hotel then tells the man to get out and calls the cops, only to have the alleged pimp run into a room.

Deputies have not been able to find the gun.

Both the woman and guy are now under arrest, with the woman under arrest for prostitution.
