Stockton nonprofit goes to mall raising awareness about homeless youth

Local News

STOCKTON, Calif. (KTXL) — Once the teenage years hit, some young people can barely be pried out of their rooms, but far too many can’t imagine what it might be like to have a room to call their own.

November is National Homeless Youth Awareness and Runaway Prevention Month.

Representatives from the Women’s Center of Stockton will be going to a local mall to remind the community just how serious this issue is.

Outreach program manager Elizabeth Sanchez joined FOX40’s Karma Dickerson to discuss the effort.
