Stockton Police Search for Motive, Suspect in Deadly Gas Station Shooting

STOCKTON -- Police are investigating a deadly shooting at a Stockton Chevron gas station.

Just after 11 a.m., Stockton officers discovered a 28-year-old shooting victim in the area of North Filbert and East Fremont streets.

The man was transported to a hospital in critical condition and later died.

The Stockton Police Department reports the suspect is a young black man who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants at the time of the shooting. He was seen riding a bicycle. Homicide detectives have not uncovered a motive.
