MODESTO-
A Modesto man pleaded guilty Monday to producing child pornography.
The investigation that led to 37-year-old Timothy Valdez’s arrest began in December 2011 with a tip from Danish Police about child porn online that originated in North America. Danish officials tipped off law enforcement in Canada and the United States.
Valdez was arrested in March 2012. The investigation was handled in the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Homeland Security Investigations, along with the Modesto Police Department.
With Valdez’s guilty plea, he agrees to a maximum of 30 years behind bars. He will be sentenced July 22.
