SACRAMENTO — A train was stopped in midtown Sacramento Thursday following an accident.
Sacramento Police Capt. Norm Leong reports the accident occurred between the Union Pacific Railroad train and a car in the area of 19th and P streets. Details surrounding the incident have not been reported.
Leong says minor injuries were reported from the accident site.
Traffic backed up along 19th Street between K and W streets. The police department reports the train was cleared from the tracks around 5:10 p.m.
Union Pacific Railroad officials are investigating.

This accident is not affecting light rail operations. The only impact to bus is that route 51 cannot drop off passengers at the Broadway light rail station.
