Two people are in serious condition after being stabbed multiple times in what police believe is a gang related incident.

Officers showed up just before 10 p.m. Saturday after citizens reported a stabbing had just happened near the Georgie Duke Center, in the parking lot of Country High School.

At the scene, authorities found two people – a 41-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy – suffering from multiple stab wounds. Both had to be transported to the hospital in serious condition, but authorities believe their wounds to be not life threatening.

Police say they believe the stabbing to be gang motivated. Through investigation, police found that the stabbing looks to have resulted from a challenge the two victims were confronted with at the carnival in Andrew’s Park. The group moved from the carnival and to parking lot, where the stabbings look to have happened.

Between five and seven men, all between the ages of 16 and 22, are believed to the suspects.

Anyone with information on the stabbing is asked to call Vacaville Police at (707)449-5200.
