U.S. Marshals, along with Stockton Police and San Joaquin County Sheriff’s deputies, arrested a man wanted for attempted murder after a brief standoff at a motel Wednesday afternoon.

Alejandro “Looney” Ruvalcaba is suspected of shooting a man several times March 21, reportedly over an argument they had over a female friend.

Officers responded to a motel along North Wilson Way. Ruvalcaba gave up shortly after SWAT officers arrived.

A loaded gun was found inside the room.
