A new study out Monday by dating website Seeking Arrangements reports that UC Davis ranks 43rd in the nation for female students looking to “sugar daddies” to pay for college.

The sight has seen more than a 200 percent increase in girls signing up looking for a wealthy man to pay for their schooling.

“Students are just looking for ways to pay for school, so finding a sugar daddy and, in this case a very rich boyfriend, who can help them pay for their school is one such way,” said Brandon Wade, with Seeking Arrangements.

The average monthly payment to the girls is around $3,000. UC Davis students aren’t shocked by girls turning wealthy men for money.

“Girls would be strippers and stuff before, so it doesn’t shock me that much,” said Amanda Hodson a UC Davis Student.

“I think there are probably worse things that people do to get money for collage because it so difficult,” said Haley Joberg a UC Davis Student.

Wade says his site isn’t dirty, but others have a hard time believing the men are paying $3,000 for the girls’ charm and not sex.

“You have to be really desperate to do that. That’s really disturbing,” said Lordesa Fok, a UC Davis Student.

“I feel like there are other ways to pay for school other than going online and going on dates with older men who are shady and creepy,” said Christine Donahue, a UC Davis Student.
