MODESTO — Emergency officials are at the scene of a plane that rolled through a fence Wednesday afternoon at the Modesto City-County Airport.

According to police, the plane’s owner was working on the aircraft and inadvertently started the engine. It then rolled down the runway, clipped a car and crashed through a chainlink fence.

The plane was unoccupied.

No one was hurt, but there appears to be significant damage to both the plane and the fence.
