One Sacramento family has fallen victim to vandals breaking a window outside of their home four times in the past two weeks. Now they’re taking matters into their own hands.

The first incident occurred after midnight 10 days ago, when an object came flying though the family’s front window of their Land Park home. Three similar attacks followed on separate nights, the most recent happening between 1:30 and 2:30 Sunday morning.

One family member, who didn’t want to be identified, explained the family set up surveillance cameras outside their home after the third offense and caught the suspected vandals on camera as they perpetrated their fourth attack.

The family posted the video to their community Facebook page.

"First you wonder, does somebody have something against us or, is there bullying going on, you just wonder,” the family member said.

She says she has no idea why her home's been targeted so frequently.

Now she wants police and members of her community to step up and catch whoever is responsible for the vandalism.

"For our home to be targeted four times, you can imagine it's pretty concerning."

She worries the consequences of the next incident might be worse than just property damage.

"You never know how it's going to escalate. So far it's just been vandalism but we don't know where it's going to head from here,” the family member said.

Police are now investigating and have the surveillance video.

The family has also put up flyers in the neighborhood with an image of the vandal who threw that rock, hoping someone will recognize one of them, and turn them in.

"We have really found ourselves frustrated, concerned. We'd like to be able to sleep at night again,” said the family member.
