In order to put out potential flames, Berkeley’s called for goats gone wild.

A video posted on YouTube, hundreds of Berkeley Lab goats are seen being herded to the tree-laden hill just below Blackberry Gate.

The reason this mass of goats has been dispatched is to reduce the risk of fire near lab. The goats eat the grass surrounding the lab, cutting it down short and reducing a potential fire hazard.

It’s an all-natural pruning service that’s effective and awe-inspiring. Just watch out for the horns.
