SACRAMENTO COUNTY-
Three people are dead, including two teenagers, after an early morning head-on collision along I-80.
Just after 2 a.m., Aaron Caudillo, 24, was heading westbound along I-80 in the eastbound lanes. He collided with a Buick Regal near Madison Avenue.
All three people inside the Buick were killed in the crash; the victims include the 19-year-old driver, his 18-year-old female passenger and a third, unidentified man. Caudillo was taken to the hospital for treatment.
All four people involved were wearing their seatbelts, according to CHP investigators.
CHP officers believe alcohol or drugs played a factor in the collision, however they are still investigating how Caudillo ended up going the wrong way on the highway.
