The El Dorado Sheriffs Department arrested a man for sending sexual text messages to a 15-year-old boy.

On April 14th, The teenager reported several text messages from an unknown person to police, and they immediately began their investigation.

The teen received the text messages from an unknown person who referred to himself as “Glenn Coco.” The texts described the man’s desire for the boy, homemade pornographic videos of himself, and several suggestive pictures.

“Glenn Coco” was later identified by police as Glenn O’Rourke, 26, from Placerville.

Detectives contacted O’Rourke with the teenager’s cellphone and impersonated the boy to set up a time and place for the two to meet.

Detectives arrested O’Rourke before the meeting could occur, and he was booked into the county jail with a bail of $250,000.

Detectives do not believe the 15-year-old in this case is O’Rourke’s only victim.  Anyone with information regarding O’Rourke (aka. Coco) is asked to call Detective Rich Horn at 530-642-4715.

Greg Cotta filed this report.
