Jason Bross used a small camera and a remote-controlled quadcopter to shoot a unique perspective of Folsom Lake’s receding waters.

His nearly five-minute video hovers above the ruins of Mormon Island, a mining town that was abandoned more than 50 years ago.

Since the footage was shot in November, the waters have receded even more, exposing more ruins and the Folsom Lake bed.
