Passengers had to jump out of a car while live wires dangled over them after their car smashed into a power pole early Tuesday morning in Rancho Cordova, according to witnesses.
Police said the driver was driving too fast and also believe the accident was weather related. The accident happened when it was raining around 5 a.m. on Coloma Road near Chase Drive.
SMUD is on the scene to make repairs on the pole.
