Police were called to the home near Maple and Washington Streets after getting a call from new renters who had showed up to move in. The man found dead is believed to be the one who was renting an extra room in the house out.

Investigators who arrived at the scene are saying that it looks as if the man suffered from a physical assault, but aren’t releasing any more details at this time.

Neighbors and potential witnesses are being interviewed, but police note in a release that they have “limited investigative leads.”
