The Rim Fire burning in Tuolumne and Mariposa counties has now burned nearly 200 square miles, according to the latest numbers from Cal Fire.

Along with the emergency declaration for Tuolumne County, Governor Brown issued a State of Emergency for San Francisco. The declaration comes because of power transmission lines from Tuolumne County to San Francisco were damaged in the fire.

In addition to the infrastructure damage, 11 homes and 12 other structures have been lost.

Containment is now at 5%, up from Thursday night’s number of 1%.
