STOCKTON —
61-year-old Beverly Brown is out there, somewhere. But neither her family, nor the Stockton Police know where.
It started when she walked away from a mental health facility in downtown Stockton.
“Now my mother’s missing. My kids ask about her. They miss their Grandmother and I don’t know what to tell them,” said Kayla Morgan, Beverly Brown’s daughter
Morgan said she’s known all along that her mom was a diagnosed schizophrenic, but never saw any symptoms until recently.
Now she says her mother is lost, and without medication.
Beverly Brown’s apartment is at Flora and North California Streets in Stockton. But the problem is, according to her family, she hasn’t returned here since she left the mental health facility.
For nearly a month now, for Brown’s family, her schizophrenia has felt like a ticking time-bomb.
“They’re human. They need help. And my mother’s not getting it. She’s not in her right mind. She might not even think to call home, or to go to her apartment,” Morgan said.
