STOCKTON —

Three Stockton police cars collided Wednesday morning after a driver failed to pull over to the right as a squad car approached.

Around 8:30 a.m. officers spotted an armed robbery suspect in the 3000 block of Mt. Hoffman Court. The suspect ran on foot from the officers so additional units were called for assistance.

The units were responding on Hammer Lane west of Holman Road with lights and sirens when a green van stopped in the middle of the road.

In an attempt to avoid the van, the officer collided with another squad car. One of the patrol vehicles flipped over as a result.

Two officers were transported to the hospital with complaints of pain and a third officer was taken to the hospital by another officer.

The suspect was later caught in the 1900 block of Pyrenees Avenue after a block search.
