RENO, Nev. (AP) — Police say a man suspected of a triple homicide in Sacramento may be in the Reno area.
Reno authorities said Saturday that an SUV belonging to 52-year-old Jerod Watson was stopped by police but he was not in it.
Watson has an outstanding felony warrant for homicide. He is believed to be armed and dangerous.
Police say Twanna Lucas returned to her Sacramento home Oct. 15 and found her mother and adult sons dead from multiple stab wounds.
Investigators say Watson was a family friend but also in a relationship with Lucas. They have not said why they suspect him.
Watson was twice charged with misdemeanor domestic violence but one charge was dropped in 2009.
He is described as black, 5-foot-10 and weighing 180 pounds.
