ORANGEVALE-

Neal Edwards is set to return to Casa Roble High School after winter break.

He has been on leave since October when pornographic images popped up during a digital presentation in the classroom.

Mr. Edwards was just cleared of any wrong doing by the district, but parents do not agree with the decision.

“I found out because my student says he was back on campus,” said one parent who did not want to be identified.

That parent says not only did the school not inform her of Mr. Edwards return, she had to ask probing questions to get answers.

In an email exchange with the parent, Casa Roble Principal Michele Lorenzo said, “there were inappropriate images projected and that the technology devise used for instruction was ‘pirated’ by an outside source.

“As a parent it really upsets me that the school and the district are not being proactive in including the parents in what is going on. It is just unacceptable to me,” said the parent.

The principal also said it could have possibly been a prank by a student.

“I wish that there was an investigation outside of the district and not from within,” said the parent.

We reached out to the district, but they were not immediately available for comment.
