Police have arrested five armed suspects from Sacramento, including three teenagers, accused of robbing two businesses in Placer County on Wednesday.

A clerk at the Comfort Inn on Auburn Ravine Road in Auburn called 911 at about 10:30 p.m. reporting a robbery. While officers were investigating, they got information about another robbery at Colfax Food and Gas on S. Auburn Street.

The Placer County Sheriff’s Office provided FOX40 with surveillance video showing the suspects robbing the gas station clerk at gunpoint, and throwing the cash register drawer at the man before they left.

Auburn Police officers spotted the suspects’ vehicle and went in for the arrest.

Arrested were Jamaul Lee Baker, 26, and Justina Irene Baker, 22, and three juveniles; one 15-year-old and two 14-year-olds, according to police. Officers say both Bakers were booked at the Placer County Jail on charges of armed robbery, conspiracy and child endangerment. The teens were booked on charges of robbery and conspiracy at Placer County Juvenile Hall in Auburn.
