BUTTE COUNTY —

Two commercial marijuana growing operations were discovered Wednesday.

The Special Enforcement Unit out of Butte County served a warrant at three parcels close to Forbestown Road and Squaw Flat Road in Forbestown.

On the first site 185 growing plants were confiscated and deputies detained suspects Donald Yang, 65, and Alice Yang, 64 from Lindsay, Calif.

They also found two .22 caliber rifles and $13,000 in cash.

At the second location, deputies located 132 marijuana plants and two handguns.
