Everyone needs a hero.

This weekend there will be no shortage of heroes, villains and just about every other type of character you can think of as the Sacramento Convention Center.

“I expect this to be something Sacramento has never seen before,” Adam Kellenberger said. He is one of the hundreds of vendors at the inaugural Wizard World Comic Con.

“I’ve been setting up most of the day,” vendor Dave Downey said. “I’ve got mostly comic books, but also several Japanese animation posters, action figures.  I should be very busy this weekend.”

And if you go, a big part of the experience is dressing in your favorite costume.  Evangeline’s has just about every type of outfit you could imagine for this event.

“Action hero’s, zombies, you name it we’ll dress you up and send you on your way,” Evangeline’s Manager Stephanie Hanrahan said.

The event happens Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  At press time tickets were still available for Friday and Sunday only.
