SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KTXL) — Sacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis suffered an avulsion fracture of the ulnar collateral ligament of the right thumb during Friday’s game versus the Wizards, the team announced on Monday.

Sabonis is listed as questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Denver Nuggets.

Replacing Sabonis will not be easy for Sacramento, as he’s helped lead the Kings to a 17-14 record, while posting All-Star quality numbers. He’s averaged 17.9 points, a league-leading 12.4 rebounds and 6.7 assists through 31 games this season.

Along with Denver’s Nikola Jokic, Sabonis leads the NBA with 23 double-doubles, including 10 straight, and has also notched three triple-doubles, which includes two in consecutive games.

Kings head coach Mike Brown said Alex Len will be ready to step in, if needed.
