SACRAMENTO-

Sacramento Kings star center DeMarcus Cousins was admitted to the hospital Wednesday for a viral infection, the team said.

He was treated for a brief time and released.

Cousins missed Tuesday’s home game against the Toronto Raptors because of the illness.

He is expected to fully recover, but he won’t be in Friday’s game against the Indiana Pacers or Saturday’s game against the Orlando Magic.
