SAN FRANCISCO-
There was no sign of a new contract extension for 3rd baseman Pablo Sandoval at AT&T Park on Wednesday, but Giants fans have plenty to look forward to this season.
“Our continued focus is to make AT&T a fun place to be,” Giants’ Senior V.P. of Business Operations Mario Alioto said.
Wednesday morning, the Giants held an Open House for the media, to show exactly how fun AT&T Park can be.
The center-piece this season will be a place called the Gotham Club. A private, speakeasy-style social club that provides a members-only experience while celebrating the rich 132-year history of the Giants franchise.
“It’s kind of a hidden gem here at the ballpark,” explained Alioto. “The first phase of the Gotham Club has a bowling alley. It’s the place you can go before the game, after the game. It’s really joining a private club, but it just happens to be at AT&T Park.”
The Giants open the 2014 home season at AT&T Park April 8.
