Michael Crabtree had an amazing game against the Packers last week, connecting with Colin Kaepernick on 9 passes that added up to a whopping 119 yards and two touchdowns.

But, it’s what one woman said happened after the game that has Michael Crabtree in the hot seat. Police are investigating Crabtree for a sexual assault that allegedly happened at San Francisco hotel early Sunday morning.

Police say Crabtree is cooperating with the investigation, and he has already sat down with police and his attorney. Police say that is why he was allowed to travel to Atlanta with the team.

The team is allowing Crabtree to play, General Manager Trent Baalke Released this statement today.

“We are aware of the allegations against Michael and understand that he has fully cooperated with authorities. The 49ers take such matters very seriously. We will have not further comment at this time as the legal process is ongoing,” Baalke wrote in a statement.

Crabtree’s lawyer, Joshua Bentley, released a statement to the AP Saturday, saying-

“Michael fully cooperated with the inspectors and will continue to do so throughout the investigation. We have confidence in the process. Out of respect and integrity for the process, we have no further comment at this time.”
