(FOX40.COM) — Veterans Day, which was originally known as Armistice Day to mark the end of World War I, is observed every November in the United States.

Veterans Day is a celebration to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.

In the special program “Veterans Voices,” FOX40 honors those who have served the country while also shining a spotlight on those working hard to make life easier for veterans.

Among the topics covered in this special are California’s veterans court system, a road in Roseville that has been renamed after a fallen U.S Marine Corps Sergeant, a group of veterans looking to care for a naval cemetery, a Navy veteran who prioritized service to his country above everything else, and a man who served his country before being deported.
